I remember listening to this play whilst cleaning the kitchen in a new house we had bought.

The job required hours of “elbow grease” and I was becoming bored with listening to music. My Husband found this play and I was enthralled by this magical production.

I only have to hear the name of the play to get taken back to that first memory.

There have been a few adaptations of this by the BBC.

I think the one that most people remember is the one with Stephen Moore (of Marvyn the Paranoid Andriod Fame).

It is a really nice play.
