Anyone recognise this play: Couple of lovers about to go to guillotine (French revolution?). Told they will meet again when the bells of .... ring again (analogy for never) - the bells were buried for safety during civil unrest years earlier and their location forgotten. In the present day the bells have been rediscovered and are to peal for the first time in hundreds of years - the ceremony to be broadcast over the radio. The characters of revolutionary time are reincarnated to meet again as foretold. There is a sailor, and a valuable timepiece, and a recently uncovered old well in a courtyard - but a warning is unnessary because the character is inexplicably aware of its presence there (from knowing of it before).
c.1960 - any ideas of title and playright?
